Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What does White Mouse Studio do? We are a Singapore design studio that designs and manufactures bespoke functional apparels and uniforms - engineered to perform for the activities they are made for. We conceptualize your idea to a finished product. We are not a sourcing agent nor a print-on-demand shop; we design from scratch and execute the whole journey.

Q.How does the process work? In three simple phases, each confirmed and paid before the next begins: 1) Design - we create your artwork, fabric specification and tech pack; 2) Sample - We make a pre-production sample for your approval; 3) Production - we manufacture, inspect and deliver.

Q. What kind of product can you make? Performance sportswear, team kit, and corporate, school and service uniforms - for example jerseys, training wear, rash guards, swimwear, performance polos and quick-dry pieces.

Q. Where are you based and where do you manufacture? We design in Singapore, close to our clients, and manufacture through vetted factories in China and South East Asia. We serve and delivers to our clients globally.

Q. How do I get started or request for a quote? Email hello@whitemouse.sg with your idea, intended use, approximate quantities and timeline, and we'll set up a short consultation.

REGARDING DESIGN

Design fee is fully credited against your production order — so if you manufacture with us, they cost you nothing.

Q. Do you actually design, or just print my logo? We design. We translate your brand's identity into precise technical specifications -  colors to Pantone, replacement in millimeters, fabric documented - before anything is made.

Q. How does the design phase work? After a 30-minuted consultation and a questionnaire, we present 5 design directions for you to choose from, then refine through 3 rounds of 3 options each, ending with your approved design package.

Q.How much does design cost, and how long does it take? The design fee is SGD1,500.00 and covers three rounds of revisions over three to four weeks. If you go on to manufacture with us, the full fee is credited back against your order - so once you are in production, the design cost you nothing. 

Q. Can I use my own logo or artwork? Yes. You confirm that any logos, trademarks or artwork you provide are yours to use; we build them into the design.

REGARDING FABRIC & FUNCTIONALITY

Q. What makes your apparel "functional"? We work with a palette of performance functions - breathability, heat-release, quick-dry, anti-chafe, easy-wash  & dry, wrinkle- free and lightweight — and select the right fabric for your activity.

Q. How do you choose the right fabric for me? By the intended activity. Our expertise is knowing which fabric suits which use, so your design idea stays compatible with the final product and performs as intended.

REGARDING SAMPLES

Sampling fee is fully credited against your first production order — so if you manufacture with us, they cost you nothing.

Q. Do you provide a sample before bulk production? Yes. The sample fee is SGD480 per design and includes a prototype, one revision and a pre-production sample, delivered to your doorstep. If you go on to manufacture with us, the sample fee is credited back against your order - so once you are in production, the sample costs you nothing. 

Q. How long do samples take? Around 14 business days. Performance pieces may need extra rounds to get the fit and fabric right.

Q. What if I need more revisions? Additional rounds are SGD150 each. These are charged separately and are not credited back, even if you go on to manufacture with us - only the original sample fee of SGD480 is.

Q. What is a pre-production sample and why does it matter? It is the approved sample that becomes the quality benchmark for your bulk order - production is checked against it, so what you approve is what you get.

REGARDING PRICING & PAYMENT

Q. How is production priced? By quotation, on an FOB (Free on Board) basis by default. Prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) or US Dollars (USD).

Q. Do the design and sample fees count toward production? Yes. When you proceed to production, with minimum of accumulated 3,000 pieces of the same design, the design fee (SGD1,500) and first round sampling fee (SGD 480) of the chosen design are offset against your production order. 

Q. Do you charge GST? No. White Mouse Studio is non-GST registered, so no GST is added.

Q. Is there a minimum order? Each production contract totals more than 3,000 units, with a minimum of 150 units per SKU.

Q. How do I pay? Production is 50% deposit on signing and 50% balance before release. Design and sample fees are paid before each phase.

REGARDING PRODUCTION & QUALITY

Q. How long does production take? Typically 45-60 days starting from date of pre-production sample approval.

Q. How do you control quality? We check the sample for performance and finish, then inspect production against the approved pre-production sample. Also, client can engage any third-party to conduct quality checks.

REGARDING SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Q. Do you ship internationally? Yes — we deliver globally.

Q. Who handles freight and duties? Quotations are FOB by default, so freight, insurance, duties and taxes beyond the FOB point are the client's responsibility.

REGARDING REORDERS

Q. How do reorders work? Reorders skip the DESIGN and SAMPLE phases and go straight to PRODUCTION — faster and simpler than the first order.

REGARDING DESIGN OWNERSHIP & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Q. Who owns the design? If you pay for your design and choose not to manufacture with us, the design is yours. If you proceed to manufacture, the design fee is offset and the design assets remain with White Mouse Studio.

Q. Will you reuse my design for another client? No. Your design is exclusive to you — we will not reuse it for any other client.

REGARDING REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Q. Can I get a refund if I change my mind? No. Our products are custom-made to your approved design, so customized products cannot be refunded or returned for change of mind.

Q. What if my goods are faulty? Contact us within 7 days with photos and your order number, and we will repair, replace or refund the affected items in line with Singapore consumer law.
